Beginner Group Run

Based on arch type, cushioning level, and pronation style shoe need to be fit or "matched" properly to specific feet.  Shoes have a finite life expectancy whether used or unused.  Under normal circumstances this means switching shoes every 300-500 miles or about 6 months of consistent wear.  If you work, laugh, play, and also run in shoes, this timeframe can be very different.

I.e. Standing on your feet for 4 hours a day without any running = 6 month replacement time

Beginner Group Run

Whether it's your first-ever running experience or you've been running for years, EVERYONE is welcome at our beginner group run.

Held at Confluence Running, in Binghamton, New York, this is geared toward the "beginner runner" who may be just starting out, starting again, simply interested in getting started or anyone who just enjoys a nice slower paced social run. Anyone is welcome to this run!

We will meet up at Confluence Running at 10:30 am, and members of the Team Confluence ambassador team will be on hand to introduce themselves, answer questions, and lead a short group run (about 2 miles, but 3 and 4 mile routes are also available) at all different pace levels and abilities. We can organize longer distances if there is interest.

No matter what your ability level is, or how new to running you are, please come out and enjoy meeting up with other new runners from the community. We hear things like, "Oh, I am not a real runner" all the time, and this is simply not true for anyone. Whether you run for 2 minutes, 2 miles, or do ultra marathons, we are ALL runners, and our goal at Confluence Running is to bring everyone together to enjoy running together as a community!

So come check out the store, and enjoy a laid back atmosphere of camaraderie and fun! We hope to see many smiling faces! Bring a friend and invite others who may be interested.

Don't forget to join our Confluence Running Beginner Group Run group to keep contact with other folks who join our beginner group run and find out about other beginner events!
